Terms of Service
Last updated: October 30, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of Beru (the "Bot"), a Discord bot, and this website (together, the "Service"). The Service is run by the developer of Beru ("we", "us"). By adding Beru to a Discord server, or by using any of its commands or features, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service and remove Beru from your server.
1. Who can use the Service
You must follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines to use Beru, including Discord's minimum age requirement for your country. If you add Beru to a server, you confirm that you are allowed to manage that server and that you accept these Terms on behalf of it.
2. The Service
Beru provides free tools for Discord servers, such as antinuke protection, automod, moderation, tickets, logging, greetings, giveaways, utility and fun commands, and optional music. Features may be added, changed, limited or removed at any time, with or without notice. The Service is provided free of charge; there is no paid plan.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Beru to break any law, or Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines;
- use Beru to harass, threaten, spam, raid or harm other users or servers;
- try to exploit bugs, overload, reverse engineer, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the Bot, its host or its data;
- use the Bot to send unsolicited advertising or to collect other users' data without their consent;
- abuse automated commands in a way that causes heavy load (for example scripted command spam).
4. Server owners and moderators
Server owners and the staff they choose are responsible for how Beru is configured and used in their server, including who is given Extra Owner, Trusted, Admin Access or fake permissions, and any action the Bot takes because of those settings (bans, kicks, timeouts, role changes, deleted messages and similar). Protective features like antinuke and automod act automatically based on your configuration. Please set them up carefully and keep Beru's role above the roles it needs to manage.
5. No guarantee
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep Beru online and working, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will stop every attack, raid or rule-breaking message. Discord outages, rate limits, missing permissions or role order can stop the Bot from acting. Always keep your own backups of important server settings.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, members, messages, roles, channels or server content, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to zero, as the Service is free.
7. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by removing Beru from your server. We may restrict or block any user or server from using Beru, at our discretion, for example for breaking these Terms or abusing the Bot.
8. Privacy
How Beru handles data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
9. Third-party content and services
Some commands show content from other services (for example memes, GIFs, lyrics, music or YouTube upload alerts). We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content or availability. Beru is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord Inc.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use Beru after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
